Things To Know Before Arrival

Cost
S.C. Schools (public, private and home schools) are admitted free with reservations. Out-of-state students groups 3 to 12 years of age are $2; 13 and over, $4. Chaperons, $4. Teachers and bus drivers receive free admission and are not charged for special programs or exhibits.
Confirmations
Confirmation of your visit will sent to the scheduling teacher.
Identification
Identification Identification name tags, wristbands, school shirts or school I.D. must be worn.
Chaperons
One chaperon for every five students but permit as few as one chaperon for every 10 students. If groups bring more than one chaperon for every five students the extra chaperons will be charged the group rate of $4 per person. Teachers are counted as chaperons. Out-of-state groups please note: Each chaperon accompanying school groups will pay the group rate of $4 per person.
Arrival Time
Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled program. Remain on the bus until instructions are given. Programs may be forfeited if your group is more than 20 minutes late. Call (803) 898-4999 if you know you will arrive late. We will make every effort to provide your program/s.
Safety
Safety All school groups must leave and board buses at the museum entrance.
Make your life easier. Order fun, educational student bags from the CottonMill Exchange before your group visit. A limited number of students will be admitted to the museum store at a time. They must have a chaperon.
Box Lunches and on site space for lunch is available.
