Join us for the exciting Jack Frost Jubilee. Enjoy carriage rides with Santa, a cultural celebration of winter holidays, seasonal crafts, musical performances from local school groups, storytelling and gift-wrapping services. It’ll be a day of festive family fun! 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Make Your Own Purse Workshop • Saturday, Dec. 15

Back by popular demand at a special holiday rate, don’t miss this chance to make a beautiful handcrafted purse for that special someone on your list. They’ll be amazed at your artistry and thoughtfulness, although you may just decide to keep it for yourself! No sewing is involved and all instructions and supplies are provided.

Winter Day Camps • Monday, Dec. 17 through Friday, Dec. 21

The holiday season can be stressful, so let the State Museum be your ally this winter.
Children (ages 5-10) will enjoy fun, creative programs and crafts with a different theme each day.
9 a.m. -noon; 2nd session on Friday, Dec. 21 only, 1 - 4 p.m.
Cost: Members $10 per session/General Public $15 per session,

“A Night to Believe” • Thursday, Dec. 20

Celebrate the start of winter break with supper and a special holiday movie at the State Museum! Join us in your favorite PJ’s at 5 p.m. for a light, kid-friendly supper, then at 6 p.m. watch the magical holiday movie, “The Polar Express.” After the movie enjoy cookies and hot chocolate with a special visitor! 5- 9 p.m.
Cost: Dinner and Dessert $5 (includes light supper, popcorn during the movie, cookies and hot chocolate after the movie). Just want to watch the movie? It’s Free!

Hayrides • Saturday, Dec. 22

Bundle up for a festive jaunt around the museum grounds. $1 per person. 1 - 4 p.m.,

Star Lab Planetarium Shows • Wednesday, Dec. 26 - Saturday, Dec. 29

30-minute sessions conducted hourly that focus on seasons, constellations and moon phases.
$3 per person, 12 - 4 p.m.
