Summer Science Camps Start May 29

Want to send a rocket blasting through the sky, make invisible ink or test your forensic skills?

Kids can do all this and more this summer at the State Museum as Mad Science of Columbia presents exciting and new exclusive summer science camps for kids ages five to 12.

Mad Science offers half-day camps from 9 a.m. - noon and full day camps from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. in which kids will see amazing demonstrations and make numerous take-home creations. Most camps will be offered for five days, while some are four days.

Early registration deadline is April 30 and prices range from $109-$219 per child ($119 - $239 after the registration deadline) Friends of the State Museum will receive discounts after the early registration deadline.

Girls in Science Day

Girls ages 10 -14 are invited to join the State Museum on June 8, 2007 as we celebrate Girls in Science Day. May 29 – June 1 – Mad Science of Columbia Summer Program “Dynamic Dinos.” This camp lets young paleontologists go on a dinosaur “dig” and learn about the habits and characteristics of dinosaurs. 9 a.m. – noon. To register, call (803) 739-2122.
